CAT MARTINO – Though it’s possible you can’t place her name, if you’ve been paying attention to independent music over the past several years you have almost certainly heard Cat Martino’s voice. The Brooklyn native was Sufjan Stevens’ right hand woman for Age of Adz and All Delighted People albums and world tour, recorded/toured with Sharon Van Etten circa Epic, and has appeared with The Shins on SNL. In addition to her original solo project and recordings, she has paired with multi-instrumentalist Sven Britt for her most recent outfit, Stranger Cat.

In 2014, his composition skills were recognized when their song “Gold” was awarded “Best Love Song” at the 13th Annual Independent Music Awards. Additionally, Kiyoshi is active member of the NYC live music scene as both side man and session musician.
