The Knocks (DJ Set)

2015 has been a busy year for New York City’s The Knocks, releasing the much-anticipated So Classic EP via Big Beat/Neon Gold and gearing up for an LP later on this year. The duo shares their new disco-infused single, “Collect My Love” (feat. GLEE’s own Alex Newell on vocals), along with the full So Classic EP, streaming exclusively on SPIN.

“Find a disco ball, clear some dancing space…” declares Entertainment Weekly. “Collect My Love” is preceded by their recent smash, “Classic,” which features the fast-rising West Coast duo POWERSaccompanied by a brilliant/catchy/hilarious video which has eclipsed one million YouTube views.

The Knocks is comprised of two New York producers, JPatt and B-Roc, and has already built an impressive resume of legendary remixes and original material over the past seven years, all of which is reminiscent of the golden years of vocal house and credible pop music. The duo has also been hailed by the NME in their “20 hottest producers in music,” and The Guardian has called them “cred-pop’s answer to the Neptunes.”

JPatt’s background in soul and funk and B-Roc’s years spent immersed in trip-hop and hip-hop beats built the duos sound. The two initially gained recognition for their remixes for artists including Haim, Santigold, Foster The People, Two Door Cinema, Ellie Goulding, Passion Pit and The 1975, but eventually found themselves experimenting with sounds of their own.

Party Supplies (DJ Set)

Party Supplies is the stage name of Justin Nealis, a Queens-born producer and literal one man band whose handmade MPC symphonies and heartfelt stage presence blend hip-hop energy with anthemic indie hooks. His homegrown remixes for Arcade Fire and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros turn festival favorites into cut and paste epics, and are just a taste of the original material he has in store. “Party Supplies gives me Madchester vibes, and makes me think of all the 80s and 90s alternative stuff I really love,” says Nick Catchdubs. “He can turn a breakbeat into a love song like nobody else. Plus he’s really a rap guy? And our actual neighbor? I knew we had to sign him immediately.” Party Supplies will be hitting the studio to record his first album this summer.
