event description event description

2015 will mark the 8th annual Songs in the Key of Equality benefit concert. Our annual concert has become a “can’t miss!” event for straight allies and the LGBT loved ones in their lives to celebrate our contributions to advancing equality and freedom.

We are lining up a stellar group of performers under the direction of Erik Sisco and musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes. Hosting this year’s concert and performing is cabaret sensation and star of Tony Award Winning Musical Kinky Boots, Natalie Joy Johnson. Slated to perform this year are Tony Award Nominee Emily Skeggs, Tony Award Nominee Charl Brown (Motown), Carly Hughes (Chicago, Pippin, Beautiful), Hamilton’s Ariana Debose (Bring It On, Motown, Pippin), Tony Award Nominee Jeff Blumenkrantz (Urban Cowboy, Murder for Two), Kevin Smith Kirkwood (Kinky Boots), Nicolas Dromard (Mary Poppins), Desiree Davar (West Side Story), David Perlman, Sutton Lee Seymour, Molly Pope, Christine Rowan, Jodi Bluestein, Adam Chandler, Joshua Dixon, Chris Gleim (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), Vicky Modica!

Songs in the Key of Equality is held here at Le Poisson Rouge, and streamed live online to audiences outside of New York! It is attended by 200 LGBT and straight ally professionals from the worlds of finance, real estate, fashion, education, technology, and the arts.

This event benefits Swish and The Swish Ally Fund at The Stonewall Community Foundation which exist to engage straight allies in the fight for LGBT equality.

This is a general admission, seated event.
