Rachael Sage CD Release Party

Prolific songstress Rachael Sage debuts at Le Poisson Rouge November 1st for the hometown celebration of her new MPress Records full-length release, “Blue Roses”. Produced by Sage and Grammy® Nominee John Shyloski (Johnny Winter, Stephen Kellogg), the album features 13 brand new chamber-pop gems, and showcases the NYC-based multi-instrumentalist’s confident, sophisticated songwriting. Featuring members of Daft Punk, Patti Smith and Bruce Springsteen’s bands, the recording includes a duet with folk icon Judy Collins and contains tracks featured in the current season of Lifetime’s #1 Reality Series, “Dance Moms”.

“Blue Roses” is a collection of songs about the impact any single person can have upon the destiny of another. Sage has spent most of the last two years trying to channel evidence of compassion into her creative output. “These are incredibly confusing, chaotic times we’re living in, and the older I get, the more vital it seems to me to document unabashed, wholehearted empathy wherever and however I can as an artist.”

Praised by The Wall Street Journal, Rollingstone.com and The New York Times, Sage will bring her unique brand of infectious melodies and poetic lyrics to the stage via her innovative keyboard playing and delicate guitar work. She’ll be supported by stellar local band-mates: cellist Ward Williams (Brandi Carlile), violinist Kelly Halloran (G. Love), and drummer Andy Mac (Deni Bonet)…plus special surprise guests! For more information, Rachael’s website or read the official press release for “Blue Roses”.
