PhillyBloco’s twenty-four members feature a core of twelve Samba drummers along with vocals, guitar, bass, horns, accordion, violin, keyboard and costumed dancers. The PhillyBloco show is a raucous mash-up of samba, funk, reggae, and New Orleans 2nd-line, all set to the irresistible beats of Brazilian Carnival.

What began as an idea in October of 2013 has blossomed into a special band, that generates buzz, and has already shared their compositions at New York’s premier venues.
