Omar Souleyman

Perhaps the most famous wedding singer ever, the Syrian singer (and Bjork favorite) became a worldwide sensation after exporting his brand of the danceable, high energy Middle Eastern wedding/celebration music called dabke. Souleyman plays this rare U.S. date a week before his new Four Tet-produced album Wenu Wenu hits stores. NPR Music has the First Listen on October 14.
