Each month’s show is based on a typical object – hats, wallets, cigarettes. Things that end up in a lost and found box. These things tell stories, whether lost memories or made-up tales. They reflect our lives, where we come from, and where we’re going.
 
The show is a creative meeting of the minds: we’ve featured authors, bloggers, actors, cabaret singers, magicians, comedians, travel writers, psychedelic gurus, TED talk speakers, Moth storytellers, burlesque performers, and even a ukulele player.

Donna Minkowitz is the author of the memoir Growing Up Golem: How I Survived My Mother, Brooklyn and Some Really Bad Dates, which was a finalist for both a Lambda Literary Award and the Publishing Triangle’s Judy Grahn Nonfiction Award. She won a Lammy for her first memoir, Ferocious Romance. Minkowitz once disguised herself as a 16­year­old evangelical boy to report on a convention of the Promise Keepers, the Christian ­right men’s group. According to director Kimberly Peirce, the movie Boys Don’t Cry was inspired by Minkowitz’s article on the life and death of Brandon Teena. She’s written for the New York Times Book Review and performed at The Kitchen.

Richard Narvaez has had work published in Drawn to Marvel, Murdaland, Indian Country Noir, Long Island Noir, and Hit List: The Best of Latino Mystery. His ebook Roachkiller and Other Stories won the 2013 Spinetingler Award for Best Anthology/Short Story Collection. He is the current president of the New York Chapter of the Mystery Writers of America.

As a secu­rity con­tractor, gov­ern­ment civilian and mil­i­tary officer, Myke Cole’s career has run the gamut from Coun­tert­er­rorism to Cyber War­fare to Fed­eral Law Enforce­ment. He’s done three tours in Iraq and was recalled to serve during the Deep­water Horizon oil spill. All that con­flict can wear a guy out. Thank good­ness for fan­tasy novels, comic books, late night games of Dun­geons and Dragons and lots of angst fueled writing. His 4th novel, GEMINI CELL, is out January 2015

Lily Du is a performer and writer based out of New York. Originally from Rockville MD, Lily has studied improv and sketch at the UCB with too many wonderful teachers to list. She was previously on the Lloyd Team Detroit, and can currently be seen performing around town with Pompadour. Lily has appeared on shows on MTV and MTV Other, and played an Asian business lady in whatever ads require Asian business ladies. Cici James is the founder of Singularity&Co, an independent bookstore dedicated to bringing vintage science fiction back to the future, and an indie publisher of the same name. When not immersed in all things sci fi, you can find her singing at venues as illustrious as Lincoln Center, as divey as the Trash Bar, and everywhere in between. A veteran member of the infamous Loser’s Lounge, you can catch her on onstage with the gang at Joe’s Pub in December!

Daniel is a writer of surreal fiction, essays, and film reviews. His work has appeared in the New York Press, Cinespect, the L Magazine, and Rio Grande Review. He has performed at such venues as The Slipper Room, Cornelia Street Cafe, KGB Bar, The Bell House, and the Bowery Poetry Club.
