InDigest presents InDigest 1207, a reading series that takes place monthly in New York City and quarterly in Minneapolis. In addition to their own work, readers are encouraged to bring in something that has informed or influenced them in some way. The result is often funny, sometimes strange, but always interesting, showing us how we are all constantly influenced by what we see, hear, and read.
Anne Cecelia Holmes is the author of a chapbook, Junk Parade (dancing girl press 2012), and co-author (with Lily Ladewig) of the e-chapbook I Am A Natural Wonder (Blue Hour Press 2011). Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in jubilat, Conduit, Phoebe,The Denver Quarterly, and others. She lives in Northampton, MA.
ANDREW DURBIN co-edits Wonder, a publisher of artist books, pamphlets, ephemera, and glossies. He was a founding editor of O’clock Press and it’s journal, CLOCK. His work has appeared (or is forthcoming) in Antennae, InDigest, Washington Square, Web Conjunctions, West Wind Review, and elsewhere. He works for the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Kathleen Rooney is a poet and a writer. With Abby Beckel, she is a founding editor of Rose Metal Press. With Elisa Gabbert, she is the author of That Tiny Insane Voluptuousness (Otoliths, 2008). With Counterpoint Press, her prose collection For You, For You I Am Trilling These Songs is now available. With Dave Landsberger and Eric Plattner, she comprises one-third of Poems While You Wait, typewritten poetry, composed on demand. With her husband, the writer Martin Seay, she lives in Chicago, where she works as a Visiting Assistant Professor of English and Creative Writing at DePaul University and where she is the Visiting Writer at Roosevelt University for 2012-2013. With Gold Wake Press, her latest solo poetry collection, Robinson Alone, is forthcoming in October 2012.
Nate Pritts is the author of two books of poetry – Sensational Spectacular (BlazeVOX, 2007) & Honorary Astronaut (Ghost Road Press, 2008) – with a third, The Wonderfull Yeare, due out in early 2010. A collaboration with painter Keith Gamache, [butterfly // flutterby] is forthcoming from Cinematheque Press. He teaches poetry at the Downtown Writers Center/YMCA in Syracuse, NY.
Steven Karl has had chapbooks published by Flying Guillotine Press, Peptic Robot Press( with Joseph Lappie), H_NGM_N, and Lame House Press( with Angela Veronica Wong). His first collection of poetry, The End of Dork Swagger is forthcoming from Coconut Books in 2013. He is an editor for Coldfront Magazine and Sink Review and lives in Miami, Florida.
Wendy Xu is the author of YOU ARE NOT DEAD, a full-length collection forthcoming from Cleveland State University Poetry Center, and two chapbooks The Hero Poems (H_NGM_N, 2011), and I Was Not Even Born (Coconut Books, 2013). Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Gulf Coast, Verse Daily, Columbia Poetry Review, Third Coast, Forklift, Ohio, Cutbank, The American Poetry Journal, and elsewhere. She lives in Northampton where she is the co-editor and publisher of iO: A Journal of New American Poetry / iO Books, and with Leora Fridman, co-curator of the jubilat / Jones Reading Series.
Dustin Luke Nelson is the author of the chapbook”Abraham Lincoln” (Mondo Bummer, 2013). His 90-minute performance film “STRIKE TWO” debut with Gauss PDF and his record-breaking performance APPLAUSE premieres at the Walker Art Center’s Open Field in June 2014. He is a founding editor of the literary magazine InDigest and was the host of the InDigest Reading Series in New York City. He is a 2012 National Poetry Series finalist.
