event description event description

Some of Broadway’s hottest talents will sing completely new arrangements of the hits of Justin Timberlake in the sixth concert of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series. More than 15 Broadway performers will be accompanied by a full jazz band playing brand new, original orchestrations of the singer’s greatest songs. Previous concerts in the series were Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé Stevie Wonder, and Amy Winehouse.

The concert will feature cover songs to celebrate Timberlake’s iconic songs, including “Cry Me a River”, “Suit and Tie”, and “My Love”, as well as popular hits from his legendary boy band, ‘N SYNC. The music will be orchestrated and arranged by Joshua Stephen Kartes.

Performers will include Shaleah Adkisson (Rent), Darren Bluestone (Avenue Q), Max Chernin, Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Jason Gotay (Spider Man: Turn Off the Dark), Amber Iman (Soul Doctor), Marcus Paul James (Motown The Musical), Jay Armstrong Johnson (On The Town), Crystal Joy (Motown The Musical), Mykal Kilgore (The Book of Mormon), Derek Klena (Bridges of Madison County), Corey Mach (Godspell), Chris McCarrell (Les Miserables), Andy Mientus (Les Misérables, “Smash”), Marla Mindelle (Cinderella), Jillian Mueller (Bye Bye Birdie), Shannon O’Boyle (Once), Ciara Renée (Pippin), Zak Resnick (Mamma Mia), and Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture).

In the late 1990’s, Justin Timberlake rose to fame as the lead vocalist of boy band ‘N SYNC. His first two solo albums (Justified and FutureSex/LoveSounds) exceeded sales of seven million copies worldwide, and he was established as one of the most commercially successful singers of the decade. Both his third and fourth albums (The 20/20 Experience, Parts 1 and 2) debuted at #1 on the charts. Timberlake’s work has earned him nine Grammy Awards and four Emmy Awards.

“Broadway Sings Justin Timberlake”, produced and directed by Corey Mach (Hands on a Hardbody, Wicked, Godspell), will celebrate the success and talent of this diverse, legendary artist.
