…And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead

Formed in late 1994 by singers/guitarists/drummers Conrad Keely and Jason Reece, Trail of Dead has evolved over the years expanding their line-up while still being creatively driven by the core founding members. Friends since childhood, Keely and Reece started playing music in the indie rock town of Olympia, WA and eventually relocated to Austin, TX where they started …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. Their first release was a self-titled album that came out on Trance Records in 1998 and was succeeded by Madonna in 1999 on Merge records. …Trail of Dead toured the US with Superchunk shortly after and in 2002 they released Source Tags and Codes on Interscope Records. Over the next four years the band released two additional albums on Interscope Records – World’s Apart and So Divided before parting ways with the label in the fall of 2007. In the Spring of 2008, …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead launched their Richter Scale Imprint and thanks to a partnership in the US with Justice Records and in Europe with Superball Music, their sixth studio album The Century of Self was released in February 2009. In the Spring of 2010 the band entered a worldwide deal with Superball Music and their Richter Scale Records Imprint and they released TAO OF THE DEAD in February 2011 and in the summer of 2012 the band headed over to Hannover, Germany to record their eight full-length studio album Lost Songs. In October 2012 Trail of Dead released their eight full-length studio album Lost Songs on Richter Scale/Superball Music. Enter 2014 and the band started 20 years ago by two childhood friends is set to release their ninth full length studio album IX on Richter Scale/Superball Music. Currently, Jason and Autry are based in Austin, TX, Conrad is based in Cambodia and Jamie lives in LA.

Boyfrndz

Following 2012’s “All Day Pass”, Boyfrndz have continued to move forward by redesigning their unique approach to adventurous & complex rock. Produced by the former Mars Volta’s organist, Ikey Owens, the five melodic, chaotic and beautiful jewels of “Natures” change up their game; the Austin TX trio have succeeded in creating a protean multiplicity of genres somewhere between progressive, noise, punk-rock & pop. Led by the possessed and powerful voice of Scott Martin, Boyfrndz cast off the math-rock label, forging a strong identity of sonic tension and release.

Boyfrndz returned with their highly anticipated sophomore album, Breeder April 1, 2014. Recorded by Erik Wofford (Maserati, The Black Angels, White Denim), Breeder sees the group further expanding their meticulously constructed hypnotic sound into new realms of colorful, energetic and emotional territories. Impossible to pin a label to, Boyfrndz seamlessly merge hook-laden, reverb soaked vocals with swirling guitar melodies and complex rhythms.

Your Favorite Enemies

Your Favorite Enemies’ distinctive blend of dirty and polished type of sonic textures, along with their introspective poetry and symbolist type of lyrical approach gathered fanatics from all different musical backgrounds into a defining communion of high level noise, post-punk, psych, shoegaze and prog rock.

Well known for their old school DIY dedicated ethos, for being fierce human rights advocates and for their insanely unique scenic let go type of live performances, the six members of the band devote every aspect of their career based on their community values.

Sonically twisted, lyrically juxtaposed symbolistic and creative polemics are amongst the few aspects that make Your Favorite Enemies one of the most exciting, intriguing and artistically fascinating ventures to emerge on the musical front scene over the last couple of years.
