Ildar Abdrazakov sings the title role of Prince Igor at the Met this season. He made his company role debuts as Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro and in the title role of Don Giovanni in 2012, having previously appeared in that opera as Leporello and Masetto (for his 2004 Met debut). His other Met performances include Escamillo in Carmen, Mustafà in Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri, Alidoro in La Cenerentola, Méphistophélès in Gounod’s Faust and Berlioz’s La Damnation de Faust, Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Dosifei in Mussorgsky’s Khovanshchina, Enrico in the Met premiere of Donizetti’s Anna Bolena, the Four Villains in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, and the title role in the Met premiere of Verdi’s Attila, conducted by Riccardo Muti.
