Son Lux (aka Ryan Lott) is bringing his superb blend of post-rock, electronica and hip-hop to LPR on May 13th for a show celebrating the release of his new EP Alternate Worlds. The vinyl edition is due out May 27, but you can scroll down and stream the entire EP right now.
 
For Alternate Worlds Son Lux reimagined four tracks from last year’s critically acclaimed full-length Lanterns, including a new take on “Easy” that features New Zealand electropop sensation Lorde (who made her US debut at LPR back in August). Here’s a little background from the press release:
 
“After New Zealand breakout star Lorde began covering Lanterns’ ‘Easy’ at her shows, the two created a collaborative reworking of the track. ‘Easy (Switch Screens)’ captures the essence of the two artists perfectly, finding an immediate natural chemistry in just their first time working together.”
 
“Easy (Switch Screens)” also features guitar work from Rafiq Bhatia, who, along with drummer Ian Chang, will back Son Lux during his 5/13 show. Check it out:
