The Losers Lounge Tribute To The Monkees - A Memorial For Davy Jones
Loser's Lounge is a bi-monthly tribute show based in New York City where local talent pays homage to the pop music greats of the past.

Loser's Lounge was started in 1993 by session keyboardist Joe McGinty (Psychedelic Furs, The Ramones, Ryan Adams) and psycho-cabaret singer Nick Danger. Originally a piano singalong night at the Pink Pony Cafe on Ludlow Street, the Loser's Lounge debuted at the Fez nightclub with A Tribute To Burt Bacharach.

House band the Kustard Kings joined the show in June 1994 for the Mancini tribute and have been the ace backup band ever since. In any given show, the Kings backup over 20 different singers culled from the always-exploding NYC music scene. Since 1993, the Loser's Lounge has performed nearly 300 shows honoring 50 different artists, from ABBA to the Zombies, sometimes with the honorees present: Lee Hazlewood, Paul Williams and Denny Doherty (of the Mamas and Papas) all enthusiastically attended their own tribute nights.

Sometimes famous people stop by to sing (Nellie McKay, the late Joey Ramone, Andy Richter, Parker Posey, Debby Harry, Fred Armisen, J Mascis and They Might Be Giants) but it's the talented group of regulars that consistently bring the house down.

After a 10 years of sold-out shows at Fez, Loser's Lounge now packs 'em in regularly at Joe's Pub. Loser's Lounge has also performed at Celebrate Brooklyn, Westbeth Theater Center, The Knitting Factory, The Bowery Ballroom, Makor, and The Jewish Museum.
performances by Karen Elson
Karen Elson's forthcoming album The Ghost Who Walks marks the debut solo release from the singer/songwriter. After finding success as a model at an early age, Karen has kept her musical career on something of a slow burn until now. She's been garnering widespread critical acclaim as a founding member of Manhattan's celebrated political cabaret troupe The Citizens Band for several years, and her beguiling voice has appeared on recordings from Robert Plant and Cat Power, but it wasn't until 2009 that Karen entered the Third Man Studio in Nashville, Tennessee to record 11 of her own songs. With production by Jack White, the forthcoming album is set to be released on Third Man/XL in the summer. This will be her first New York City show as a solo artist.
Nina Persson
Nina Persson (born Nina Elisabet Persson 6 September 1974 in Örebro, Sweden) is the lead singer and lyricist for the Swedish pop group The Cardigans. She has also worked as a solo artist, releasing two albums as A Camp and appearing on the tribute album to Serge Gainsbourg entitled Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited. She has also worked with rock group Sparklehorse and was a member of The Cake Sale collective, which released an eponymously titled album in 2006 to raise money for the charity Oxfam and the Ireland Make Trade Fair campaign.
