Chris Garneau
i am an avid lampshade collector. i enjoy steak & treats. love small / large animals. fancy things. i am happy-go-lucky and enjoy spending time at the town fairs.

Chris Garneau is an American singer and songwriter and musician. Garneau has a distinct sound with combined elements of folk, Americana, pop, baroque, and carnival music. Since releasing his debut album, Garneau has toured throughout the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Europe. In performance, Garneau usually places a lamp on the piano before playing.

Garneau cites Jeff Buckley, Nina Simone, Nico, and Chan Marshall as influences. He lives in Brooklyn, NY and recently finished his second full-length album, titled "El Radio," which is scheduled to be released in May 2009.

Scary Mansion
Scary Mansion is Leah Hayes. She lives in Brooklyn and writes music on her thunderstick. When Leah Hayes accompanies her fragile, cracking voice with the thunderstick, the result is reminiscent of Harry Smith Anthology folk: simple, breaking, and humble. When running it through a distortion pedal, the noisy, feedback-y texture is closer to Royal Trux or Sonic Youth. (from last.fm)
The Lisps
The Lisps are a New York-based assemblage of 21st century humans. They are most accurately described as the public/performative version of all the relationships you're struggling with.

The Lisps have formed, deformed and reformed over the last 3 years. They are an ever changing body of genius behaviour. Like the mythic phoenix rising from the ashes of oblivion The Lisps are endlessly entertaining to themselves and their friends. Sometimes they argue with each other but they almost always agree to disagree and/or validate each other's point of view. The lisps have been on 2 humungous national tours and wowed thousands of Pro-American and Anti-American Americans with their outrageous live performances.

They released their debut full-length album, "Country Doctor Museum" in January of 2008 and celebrated with a sold-out album release party at the beautiful Joe's Pub. The Lisps are currently working on their musical "FUTURITY." Which is the classic American tale of a Civil War soldier who is an aspiring Science-Ficiton writer.
