Meredith Monk & Vocal Ensemble consists of some of the finest and most adventurous singer/performers active in new music. The group has received multiple awards and critical acclaim, including a GRAMMY nomination for impermanence, and has performed on numerous recordings for the ECM New Music Series label and at many of the world’s most lauded theaters and concert halls. The artistic traditions and backgrounds which the Vocal Ensemble represent are wonderfully diverse, ranging from Chinese and Western opera, to Broadway and musical theater, to all forms of movement theater and interdisciplinary performance.
