AFROKINETIC is back at it again, celebrating it's 7 Year Anniversary
in NYC!!! Founder and resident DJ Chris Annibell is in command of the
turntables while Afrokinetic drummers Amon and Jimmy Lopez keep us
rooted in the folkloric rhythms of the afro-latino diaspora.
Many thanks to the fans, artists, musicians, dancers, DJ's, producers, venues, staff, photographers, vendors, builders, engineers, videographers, servers, security personel, owners, press, promoters and countless other people that have and continue to champion our cause. From our humble beginnings at NUBLU in 2003 to our first true home at The Royale; from Starfoods to Love and then to The gallerie in DUMBO; to APT, Miss Williamsburg and Sputnik, the South Street Seaport and The Old American Can Factory... We have moved, changed, fallen down, gotten up, did it again; and every time this party was somehow better then it had been before. This has only been possible because of your love and support; and with your commitment we will continue to keep pushing the boundaries of what dance parties should look, sound and feel like in Nueva York.

Chris Annibell - DJ, Event Producer, Funky Drummer and Tastemaker
Annibell has been at the forefront of the underground soul, house and world dance scene in NYC for the past 11 years. Early on as a contributor to the Turntables on the Hudson sound as one half of the production duo Nickodemus & Osiris and later as the founder and resident DJ of critically acclaimed parties Afrokinetic and Carmina Soul.
His published works and remixes have been commercially released on labels like Giant Step, Milan and Luaka Bop and heard by millions in TV shows and Commercials.
Annibell has shared the stage with the likes of some of the worlds greats including BBC's Radio Personality Gilles Peterson, King Britt, Nickodemus, Daz-I-Kue (bugz in the attic, uk), Rich Medina, DJ Spinna, Mark Farina, Soulive, Tony Touch, Tortured Soul... just to name a few.
