Plaid
The renowned British IDM duo Plaid (coming to LPR on July 18th) just released Reachy Prints, their first album since 2011’s Scintilli. It’s out on Warp, but you can stream the whole thing right now over at Clash, who also spoke with Plaid’s Andy Turner and Ed Handley. Here’s an excerpt:

Plaid - Reachy Prints“‘Reachy Prints’ is yet another milestone – the freshness of their latest album’s tracks confirms that they’ve achieved their goal. ‘It’s escapist in the positive sense,’ Andy explains. ‘It’s fighting music. Certainly in the early days dance music had a fighting element to it; we’re fighting against our oppressors, our… landlords!’

‘And we’re just trying to be ourselves,’ adds Ed. ‘Limiting ourselves in the right sense, and using interesting synthesis.'”

Always the innovators, the duo debuted one of Reachy Prints‘ tracks, “Tether,” as an awesome interactive web app “that visually interprets the sonic intricacies of the track.” Give it a try below (or click here):

And here’s their new video for Reachy Prints’ “Wallet”:
